Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Entuo Labs Private Limited ("Pherey", "we", "us", or "our"), the company that operates the Pherey platform, website, and mobile applications (together, the "Platform"), collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you use our wedding and event services.

We are the Data Fiduciary in respect of the personal data we process, and we are committed to handling your data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and the rules made under it, as applicable.

If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Platform.

1. Who we are

2. The data we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data, depending on how you use the Platform.

2.1 If you are a couple / customer

  • Identity and contact details: name, phone number, email address, and (where required for a booking or invoice) billing address.
  • Event details: wedding/event dates, venues, locations, guest count, service preferences, budget range, and other details you share to receive services.
  • Payment information: transaction records and payment confirmations. Card, UPI, and bank details are collected and processed directly by our payment gateway partner and are not stored by us in full.
  • Communications: messages, requests, reviews, and support interactions with us and with vendors arranged through the Platform.

2.2 If you are a third-party service provider

  • KYC and tax details: name, business/entity name, PAN, GSTIN (where registered), and address.
  • Payout details: bank account number and IFSC (for settlement of payouts).
  • Profile details: portfolio, photographs of your work, service categories, pricing, and availability.
  • Verification details: documents and information collected to verify your identity, credentials, and any licences applicable to your category of service.

2.3 Guest data you provide to us

If you use our wedding website or messaging features, you may provide us with personal data of your guests(such as names and phone numbers) so that we can host your event website or send invitations and updates on your behalf. You are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis and the necessary consent to share your guests' data with us for these purposes (see Section 6).

2.4 Data we collect automatically

  • Device and usage data: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and actions taken on the Platform.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 9.

3. How we use your data

We use personal data to:

  • create and manage your account;
  • provide our wedding and event services, including arranging, coordinating, and delivering services through the vendors we engage;
  • host wedding websites and send invitations, reminders, and updates to your guests at your request;
  • process payments, generate invoices, and make payouts to vendors;
  • verify vendor identity, credentials, and tax status, and meet our compliance obligations (including GST, tax deduction at source, and KYC);
  • communicate with you about bookings, support requests, and service-related matters;
  • improve and secure the Platform, and prevent fraud and misuse;
  • send you marketing or promotional communications where you have consented, and from which you can opt out at any time;
  • comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests from authorities.

4. The basis on which we process your data

We process personal data on the basis of:

  • Your consent, which you may withdraw at any time (see Section 8). Withdrawing consent will not affect processing done before the withdrawal, and may mean we can no longer provide certain services to you.
  • Legitimate uses permitted under the DPDP Act, including processing necessary to provide a service you have requested, to comply with law, or to respond to an emergency.

Where we process your data based on consent, we will give you notice of the purposes at or before the time of collection.

5. When and with whom we share your data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as described below:

  • With vendors and service providers engaged to fulfil your booking, to the extent needed to deliver the service (for example, sharing your event date, venue, and contact details with the makeup artist or photographer attending your event).
  • With payment gateways, banking, and payout partners to process payments and settle vendor payouts.
  • With service providers who support our operations (such as cloud hosting, communications/messaging infrastructure, analytics, and customer support), under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
  • For legal and regulatory reasons, where required to comply with law, a court order, or a lawful request, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
  • In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

6. Guest data

When you provide your guests' personal data to us for the wedding website or messaging features:

  • you confirm that you have obtained the necessary consent from, or otherwise have a lawful basis to share the data of, your guests;
  • you are responsible for the accuracy of the guest data you provide;
  • we process that guest data on your behalf and on your instructions, only to provide the website and messaging features you have requested;
  • guests can opt out of receiving further messages, and we will honour opt-out and unsubscribe requests in line with applicable messaging rules and platform (e.g. WhatsApp) policies.

7. How long we keep your data

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy, including to provide our services, and to meet legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements (for example, invoice and tax records are retained for the periods required under applicable tax law). When data is no longer required, we will delete or anonymise it.

8. Your rights

Subject to the DPDP Act and applicable law, you have the right to:

  • access a summary of the personal data we process about you and the processing activities;
  • correct, complete, or update inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • erase your personal data where it is no longer required and retention is not otherwise required by law;
  • withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it;
  • nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity; and
  • grievance redressal — to have your complaints addressed by us (see Section 12).

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at grievance@pherey.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Platform, remember your preferences, measure usage, and improve our services. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings or any cookie controls we provide on the Platform. Some features may not function correctly if you disable certain cookies.

10. Children's data

The Platform is intended for users aged 18 years and above. We do not knowingly collect the personal data of children (persons under 18) without verifiable parental or guardian consent as required under the DPDP Act. If you believe we have collected a child's data without appropriate consent, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

11. Data security

We implement reasonable security safeguards designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a personal data breach, we will follow the notification requirements applicable under the DPDP Act.

We will acknowledge and respond to grievances within the timelines required under applicable law.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. We will post the updated Policy on the Platform with a revised "Last updated" date. Where required, we will notify you of material changes.

14. Governing law

This Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising in connection with it are subject to the dispute-resolution and jurisdiction terms set out in our Terms of Service.
